OCTA

Once the county’s bus agency, the Orange County Transportation Authority is charged with coordinating the transportation planning between cities, monitoring the county network of Arterial Highways inand through those cities, approving city funding requests for state and federal transportation grants, applying state and federal transportation policies within the county, and oh, yes… running the buses.

OCTA is also a major partner in the Southern California Regional Rail Authority, a.k.a. Metrolink.

11/08/12: OCTA announces Jinglepass, an unlimited ride, 6 week bus pass for the holidays.

11/05/12: Community meetings begin 11/13 to discuss 3 new proposed bus services.

9/13/12: The OCTA is hosting a series of open houses to seek input from the public regarding a proposed increase to bus fares.
