Urban Cycling Workshop January 19 & 21
This next League of American Bicyclists class is scheduled for January 19 & 21 in San Clemente. This class is offered to bicyclists of all abilities, transportation professionals, and their loved ones.
During this 9 hour course we’ll separate bicycle safety fact from fiction, teach real, proven, and effective behaviors to make cycling easier and less stressful. Basic mechanics and fitting are covered, too.
Thursday evening’s 3 hour presentation includes safety, bike handling, law, and traffic theory. Saturday’s ride includes essential mechanics, bicycle drills, and a survey of street conditions and behavior. At left, a student carves a turn on her commuting bike that would make any bike racer proud. In addition to learning people tell us this class is FUN!
$35 includes materials, insurance, a written exam and (usually) a diploma “suitable for framing.” Contact Pete van Nuys, petevannuys@cox.net, 949 492 5737.
